Children of Hope Center was created by a local volunteer who created an under privileged and support Center (CHC). The volunteer soon focused his efforts on the growing number of under privileged, and decided to create a safe environment where the children are fed, educated, and provided with health care. A house was rented that currently serves 72 children. In addition, 26 children are provided with home-based care from the volunteer counselors and housemothers. The organization also provides health care services, counseling, and awareness programs as an integrated approach to the needs of the community.
The goal of USSARC is to reduce HIV/AIDS infection rates and to promote positive living in the communities, especially orphans and abandoned children. USSARC acts on a humanitarian basis regardless of race, gender, religion, or political affiliation. Aware and appreciative of Kenya’s diverse and cosmopolitan make-up, USSARC has always welcomed all peoples from different cultures and walks of life. Since its inception, the organization has worked to improve the community’s sensitization, education, and enlightenment on the issue of HIV/AIDS as this is the No.cause of these under privileged children through community meetings and demonstrations. It is our goal to spread awareness that no person or community is immune to HIV/AIDS, and that the entire community must take responsibility to fight the disease and to serve those who are infected or affected by it.
In spite of the efforts, there are still many unmet needs. With additional funding will be able to expand and improve services to the community, including:
- Providing Healthcare to comunites
- Ensuring that these childrenComplete Education
- Providing children with Adequate and Secure Shelter
- Improving the Psychosocial Well-Being of children at the Center and Home Based care
- Improving the Nutritional Status and Food Security for the children
- Fighting Social Stigma and Improving Legal Rights of the children
We will implement each of these goals one by one depending on our funding. Therefore you can play a part on this by donating $105 per month or once off $1260 per year.
