The current state in Uganda, Economically things seem to be favoring others while failing the majority when one opts for a loan to boost or start a business, the interest rate is always decided by the bank of Uganda that normally ranges from 14%-23% making it very difficult for people interested in these loans as 89% of them end up losing the property used as security due to not affording loan payments. In 2015 USSARC through Mary Jay forum launched a program of identifying potential entrepreneur’s despite the years and nature of business by providing business lecture and personal loans to help them archive their goals.
Mary Jay Forum (MJF) is both influenced and owned by individuals, who are active participant within management. We strive to create more employment opportunities for the communities, contributing to the needy social organizations is our priority. Mary Jay Forum together with USSARC intend to empower the communities through training and skills development guided by the skills development Act, thereby showing its commitment to the plight of Disadvantaged Individuals.
We are receiving demand each day and being called all over the country, as their lots of business proposals that will be of great achievements globally but the innovators have not capital nor basic understanding to run a business.
This program has been of help to many families and communities at large as being affirmed in the testimonial bellow by one of the beneficiaries.

STEVEN NAMBAFU (beneficiary)
Am aged 47 I have children and leave in a trading center where life had become a challenge economically and failed to support my family. All my children had been stopped to proceed with their studies and with no choice they join me to seek for funds that seemed not to be easy to find leaving us only affording a daily meal.
As a parent this left me not settled as I always wished my children to be educated though I did not get that chance and never was is it in my plans for them to end up like me.
In early 2015 I had about a non-government program coming to our community seeking and helping the next successful entrepreneur’s.  I didn’t hesitate to attend and guess what? The rest become history as I was selected after I presented my business plan to the facilitator and who approved my application immediately they offered me a loan based on my time frames which I utilized and repaid as agreed and currently all my children have been reaccepted to at their schools as I have a second loan that is helping me to run my farming project as proposed.
