USSARC is providing shelter for those who have no shelter, clothes, medics, food to those who hardly get a meal and have no hopes and above all teaching them a word of God so they may know the way, truth life before their end times.
These grown-ups normally get to a point when they cannot support themselves physically and financially thus failing to be socially welcomed. Based on our research and personal testimonial got from the elderly, some have been just abandoned by their relative due to their past misbehaviors and others have totally no relative to lean on and others where effected/displaced by the rebellious wars in the past.
Some of them hence they had no nor relatives children at their earlier age, they sold all off there all properties having in mind that they use part of their wealth while still alive hence they have no one attached to them and this has hindered their lives today. At such an old age you find a man or woman living on a daily income were by he/she seeks a part time job like lawn cutting, cleaning Etc. then mostly paid less than $1 per work/session and many have reached a time where they can’t stand nor manage yet they need to shelter, eat, treatment, clothes name it.
Matthew 25:35-36
I was hungry, and you gave me food. I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink.
I was alone and away from home, and you invited me into your house. 36. I was without clothes and you gave me something to wear. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me
Magezi (old man)
Kigozi is one of the first men USSARC started taking care of by providing him with food, clothes, shoes and medicine and since then he has lived at list happy life comparing on what he had from the past. Uganda being a country at peace now mostly at the central region. In the mid 80’s Magezi lived with his family and by the time of the war he had to run desperately after losing all his family members and he was also on wanted to be killed by the rebels by then who were seriously in need of taking on leadership by then. By his affirmation, on his run passing through forests and swamps hence he could not use the roads due to the fear he found himself in a remote village 100 kilometers away from Kampala city as refugee and it is where he has dwelt up to now but with no one as a relative or contact hence most of them were killed by the time he fled.
So this left him lonely and desperate and a poor man who has been living as a gardener the rest of his life since then currently he has lost power to work for himself but he still needs to eat, have clothes, shoes and even medicine but he has no one to run too except to force himself to work.
One day Magezi approached USSARC founder and he explained all his sad story that he has gone through and what he is facing then what he expects in the future to a point that he had taken three (3) days without having anything to eat, no kerosene for his lump in his small hurt and he has no money to get medicine yet he has been down with malaria for the past days which had made him weak not to manage to work in order to earn his basic needs as a man in his small hurt and life and he had come to give his life to Jesus Christ hence he felt that he was now close to his last days on the world.
After he explain all this, he was prayed for and led to Christ then consoled by one of ours consolers, given something to eat with more he would take home, some clothes, shoes to wear and given treatment as well as kerosene for his lump so that he may not be in the dark again and from there he has been and he is under USSARC till date and He says that he is having a family through USSARC hence in the lord we are one you are too his family.
‘’Kigozi says that he never knew and believed that God is there, but now he knows that and he is believes that someday he will meet all his biological relatives in heaven’’
